In 2009, China was the third most important trading partner outside the EU and the top trading partner in Asia for Austria. This presentation gives an overview of Austria's trade, direct investment and tourism relations with China in the past couple of years, including important Austrian companies investing in China and vice versa. Notably, in the crisis year 2009, Austrian trade with China developed faster than on average.
