Charles Wyplosz is one of the foremost contributors to the analysis of European monetary integration and to the current debate on the 'new international financial architecture'. He is a professor of economics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, formerly he was a professor at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris and at INSEAD (the European Institute for Business Administration). He is a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London and the Director of its International Macroeconomics Programme. He is also the Director of the International Centre for Studies in International Money and Banking in Geneva. He is Member of the Council of Economic Advisers to the Prime Minister of France and has been an adviser to the Banque de France, the Government of the Russian Federation, The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Commission of the European Communities, the United Nations Economic Development Programme, etc. Charles Wyplosz is also a member of the International Scientific Advisory Board of wiiw.
